Alvarado is the oldest city in Johnson County, Texas. Alvarado’s proximity to Cleburne and the Dallas-Fort Worth area has contributed to its growth over the years. Located at the intersection of US Hwy 67 and I-35W, Alvarado is 10 miles south of Fort Worth, 35 miles southwest of Dallas, and 18 miles southwest of Mansfield.
The Wesley Mission Center, an independent non-profit organization, offers assistance to and receives assistance from people who live in Alvarado, Arlington, Burleson, Cedar Hill, Dalworthington Gardens, Everman, Forest Hill, Fort Worth, Grand Prairie, Kennedale, Mansfield, Midlothian, Pantego, Rendon, and Venus.
The Wesley Mission Center, which serves families in the Mansfield ISD and surrounding areas, is designed to empower people toward economic self-sufficiency and wholeness. Individuals and families experiencing an immediate crisis or living in poverty can have basic needs met through The Center. In addition, The Center works with people to make lasting, positive changes in their lives to experience economic self-sufficiency and wholeness.
