Employment Support

The Wesley Mission Center (WMC) believes the ability to earn a livable wage is key to an individual’s self-sufficiency and the capacity to sufficiently support their family. The WMC Employment Services program consists of several paths. We partner you with an empowerment coach to help you choose the path that is right for you.

We offer:

Education Path:  Assistance completing your high school education through free General Education Diploma (GED) classes that take place throughout the year.

Certification Path:  Assistance acquiring marketable skills needed to get back into or advance in the workforce. With the help of our community partners like TCCD-Southeast, we offer participants access to short-term training and/or certifications for in-demand jobs. We can also assist in finding ways to help cover the cost of trainings/certifications.

Employability Path:  Assistance acquiring soft skills needed for employment. Through 1:1 employment coaching or attendance at one of our quarterly Employability Workshops, you will receive job search tips and leads, resume assistance, and mock interview opportunities.

Our employment services are open to all our Financial Empowerment Program participants. To learn more about the program and to sign up for employment services, please call  (817) 473-6650.
